The Arenas created four shared public stages along Euroflora’s exhibition route, transforming planting and landscape display into moments of collective exchange.
Built as concentric wooden circles, each Arena offered a temporary amphitheatre where knowledge, craft, and green culture met.

Within the Euroflora masterplan, one of the key ideas was to highlight the skills and passions of the many contributors involved in the event. For this reason, four dedicated spaces were created along the exhibition route and named “Arenas,” reflecting their intended role. In trade fairs, individual stands often include a small area for presentations; however, these spaces are usually limited and not particularly representative. At Euroflora, where planting and green design were the central themes, the spaces for sharing knowledge, experiences, and expertise were conceived instead as public and collective, belonging to no single exhibitor.
The Arenas were built using wooden pallets arranged in concentric circles, evoking the image of an arena or a small amphitheatre. In Piazzale Kennedy, the Arena was covered by a lightweight structure that protected visitors from the sun. The supporting elements were designed with variable sections, allowing the roof system to suggest an opening gesture — a kind of blooming of the structure itself.Architectural Design: Matteo Fraschini Architetto and Urges Srl
