Mirador: Euroflora 2025 – Genova
Site: Genova –
Year 2024 2025
The Mirador rose at the centre of Euroflora’s main axis, creating an elevated viewpoint from which the entire exhibition landscape could be rediscovered.
Shaped through ascending wooden planes and vibrant plantings, it offered a layered threshold between the ground, the sea, and the horizon.
The project was conceived for a particularly significant point along the exhibition narrative. Positioned at the centre of the Piazzale Kennedy route, it engaged in a direct dialogue with the Arena — the space dedicated to the sharing of knowledge, skills, and passions.
The installation was imagined as a gradual ascent: a path that rose from ground level to nearly two metres, allowing visitors to perceive the full extension of the exhibition park. Square in plan and based on a 1.2 m x 1.2 m module — optimised for the use of plywood panels — the structure unfolded through a sequence of stepped basins of different sizes and heights, guiding the visitor to rediscover the sea and the horizon.
It was envisioned as a “Leonardesque” landscape, composed of fading planes that generated depth and three-dimensionality within the platform supporting the remarkable landscape design by ANVE – Associazione Nazionale Vivaisti Esportatori. The richness of colours and scents created an immersive experience that enveloped those who walked through it.
